Writing in the Wild
Writing in the Wild is a behind the scenes look at how a piece of writing actually gets made - from the first idea to the finished draft. You’ll see how stories take shape, how they change, and how they sometimes fall apart before they find their way. The camera doesn’t just follow the writing - it follows the writer. The desk, the road, the quiet moments between drafts. All of it is part of the process.
March 22, 2026 - The Sting of Loneliness Strikes Again - A Sunday Scaries essay which started as an idea on my way to a beachfront photoshoot Sunday afternoon (I actually caught on camera the moment the idea struck) at about 1PM. Publish time is 8:15PM, and I had a day of errands (and frozen yogurt) to tend to as well, tick tock! I cut it close on this one, but I love the message of navigating the uncertainty of “the in-between”.
March 11, 2026 - The Day My Dad Smiled, a short story about the day my dad turned around to me in the backseat and showed me a bag of powder - when I was 10.
March 1, 2026 - Before I could talk myself out of it - A Sunday Scaries essay that started as I was wandering the Galveston streets on a beautiful Sunday afternoon about my sending a videography gig proposal for $8,000 and a challenge for you to hit “send” on that one thing you’ve been scared to ask for.
